Regular dental checkups are important for identifying and treating any oral health issues before they get worse. During a visit, your dentist will clean and polish your teeth, examine them, take X-rays, and check for signs of tooth decay, gum disease, and other possible issues.
  • Eating a healthy diet
Sugary beverages like soda and juice are some of the worst things for your smile. The sugar in sodas and juices sticks to your teeth. The sugar then turns into plaque. This plaque isn’t easily removed with brushing alone. Instead, it needs to be scraped from your teeth by a dentist. Also, consider limiting your soda intake to special occasions. If you do drink soda, rinse your mouth with water or brush your teeth after you finish drinking.
